Drömkonserv
(an essay on archivism)

Through applying a simple AI generated movement to an old picture of a grandmother she comes alive. Since her early death she has become a mystery. Leaving behind are a few pictures scattered and lost in family albums and a few anecdotes. “Drömkonserv” (dream conserve) an expression from Harry Martinssons sci-fi epic “Aniara” from 1956, which bring forward a question in this essay film on how important photographs are to deal with identity and family history. And how lack of these evidence of existence bring forward a million additional questions about who we are and why we are. The film is in swedish.
