The escape from my motherland to my mother’s tongue

This exhibition was an exploration of what creates a sense of belonging. As third culture kids, we often form our understanding of our parents heritage through language. For me, not being able to return to my birthplace, I find a new motherland within the mouth, through the tongue of my mother
-through spoken culture, sounds, songs, and poetry.

The exhibition consist of two airborne pieces:
KHONE (HOME), photograph on textile
80x80 cm

FAVARE (FOUNTAIN), photograph on textile
